Well, I cant say its been a long time coming, but in one sense it has. The USS Timmis has been a hope, and a dream since 2009 when one of UCIP's greatest members passed away. We all knew her as phishie but to those who served with her she was known as Admiral Allexandra Timmis. this ship remains as dedicated to her memory and her spirit today as it did then, and i find myself sincerely honored and humbled by being allowed to bring it into the UCIP universe. This for me, is a day long in coming. Its a sad day, but yet one that brings hope for the future, and excitement for the possibilities that we may encounter.

Although i know that over the years, fandom for Star Trek has dropped off, I hope that people will not limit their horizons to the name of a televidion series or chain of movies. We are first and foremost writers; explorers of the imagination, and it is my hope and my wish that the USS Timmis boldly goes not into some undiscovered country, but rather undiscovered realms of the imagination of its crews minds and brings too everyone, new stories and thoughts; social comment and speculations. Phishie would have wanted it that way..
